Sb2O3 is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Sb2O3. Its natural form is called stibnite, and it exists in various variants such as arsenopyrite and stibnite. It is commonly known as stibium and is a white crystalline powder. Its melting point is 655℃ and its boiling point is 1550℃. It is soluble in concentrated hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, alkaline solutions, and hot tartaric acid solutions, and is slightly soluble in water, dilute nitric acid, and dilute sulfuric acid. It is amphoteric. It is mainly used as a pigment, flame retardant, mordant, catalyst, and can also be used for the synthesis of antimony salts.

Antimony Trioxide is made by antimony metal as raw material. It is white powder with wide range of applications.
Application
More than 80% of antimony trioxide is used as a flame retardant additive for various type of plastics, rubbers, and fiber. It is also used for polyester polymerization catalysts, variable resistors, decolorizing and fining of optical lenses, and as pigments.
