Application
Caprolactamdisulfide is a not discolouring sulfur donor for natural and synthetic rubber and latex, especially for low sulfur vulcanization,salt bath vulcanization,injection moulding and for vulcanization of thick-walled products.it providess mono-and di-sulfur bridges which are more stable than those formed by elemental sulfur.
In contrast to other sulfur donors caprolactamdisulfide does not form nitrosamines which can cause cancer and is thus a very safe rubber additive.
DTDC is a vulcanizing agent for both natural and synthetic rubber. As a sulfur donor, DTDC does not produce nitrosamines during vulcanization and can be used as a substitute for DTDM. Under normal vulcanization conditions, it releases active sulfur, which forms monosulfide and disulfide bonds between rubber molecules with added sulfur. This vulcanization network structure imparts good heat resistance, compression resistance, and high tensile stress to the vulcanized rubber. DTDC is easily dispersed, does not bloom, has good scorch resistance, and vulcanizes relatively quickly. DTDC can completely or partially replace sulfur to form effective or semi-effective vulcanization systems and is used in EPDM rubber. It is suitable for tires, heat-resistant rubber products, sanitary rubber products, colored rubber products, wires and cables, and other products.
