Properties
It is light yellow powder (granule) with a little osmyl and taste bitter . Specific gravity:1.42-1.52. Soluble in ethyl acetate , ethanol , solution of NaOH and Na2CO3 , insoluble in benzene , water ang gasoline .Skin contact can trigger allergic reactions, causing skin itching. Prolonged contact can lead to skin desquamation reactions.
Application
Used as an acid accelerator currently and a medium fast primary accelerator. Imparts excellent aging properties when used both alone and in combination with MBTS, TMTD and many others basic accelerators for higher activity. Its accelerative temperature is low and easily be dispersed with lower pollution . Mainly used in the manufacture of tires, tubes, footwear, rubber belts and hoses etc.
Safety measures and precautions for carriage by ships:
Avoid prolonged contact of the skin with the substance. Use equipment with adequate ventilation capacity. After handling, thoroughly wash.
Emergency medical treatment:
After contact with the skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If inhaled, move the patient to a fresh air area to rest and seek medical help. If ingested, do not force vomiting. Instead, have the patient drink two large glasses of water, taking small sips each time.
Method for fire fighting:
In case of a fire, water mist spraying, as well as chemical dry powder and carbon dioxide foam fire extinguishers, can be used.
Method to deal with leakage:
Evacuate all non-essential personnel from this area. Use safety goggles and gloves. Wearing a breathing apparatus is mandatory only when there is dust pollution. Use a shovel to remove the spilled solids and place them in containers. Avoid Generate dust. Prevent waste and polluted wastewater from entering the drinking water system or rivers.
