It has the function of decomposing peroxides and can be used directly without aging. It has excellent heat resistance. When mixed with imidazole-based antioxidants, it can prevent copper damage. It can also be used as an auxiliary thermosensitive agent and gelling agent for latex foam rubber, and can produce products with uniform foam . Its preparation method includes the reaction of sodium 2-mercaptobenzimidazole with zinc salt, or the synthesis from o-nitrophenylamine through reduction, sulfidation and other steps.
