Synthesis method

It is obtained by reacting the sodium salt of 2-sulfonated benzothiazole (promoter M) with tert-butylamine. Slowly add 0.75 moles of tert-butylamine to 0.5 moles of the sodium salt solution of 13% promoter M. After half an hour, add 0.36 moles of 25% sulfuric acid solution. React at 45-50℃ for 0.5 hours. Then add 0.6 moles of 15% hypochlorous acid sodium solution within 2 hours. After the reaction, cool, filter, wash, and dry at a temperature below 50℃ to obtain the product.

Properties

Grey white powder(granule)in color with bitter taste and slight odor. Specific gravity: 1.26--1.32, Soluble in ethanol, carbon tetrachloride, acetone, benzene, carbon disulfate, chloroform; Hardly soluble in gasoline and insoluble in water. It is not hygroscopic.

Application

This is a post-effect accelerator for natural rubber, butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and natural rubber reclaimed rubber. It has excellent anti-scorching performance and the advantage of short vulcanization time, that is, there is no scorching risk at the operating temperature, but the promoting effect is very strong at the vulcanization temperature, especially in natural rubber, the post-effect is even greater. This product needs to be combined with zinc oxide and stearic acid, and can also be activated by thiazoles, dithiocarbamates, aldehyde amines, guanidines and acidic substances. This product causes slight pollution and has almost no discoloration. It can be used to manufacture light-colored or bright-colored rubber products, and is mainly used in the production of tires, rubber shoes, rubber hoses, rubber belts, cables and general industrial products, etc.
