Mode of action
TBSI is a primary amine based accelerator which does not generates thenitrosamines and it can replace NOBS which is carcinogenic. The rubber addedwith TBSI can obtain good soorch safety and lower vulcanization rate, and showgood curing reversion resistance, high modulus and lower heat generation,which optimizes adhesion between rubber and brass coated steel cord. Itsphysical properties and dynamio properties of cured rubber are similar withNOBS and DCBS cured rubber. It can also replace the blend of primary amineaccelerator TBBS or CBS and scorching retarder CTP and be used alone,which makes it ideal for thick articles requiring a balanced cure and providesimproved reversion resistance both during extended cure times at elevatedtemperatures and during product service life. TBSI exhibits outstanding storagestability under hot and humid storage conditions.
Processing
TBSI, when used as a vulcanization accelerator, to ensure a good dispersion, itshould be added at the beginning of the mixing cycle.

Product Application
The amine-based accelerator does not produce carcinogenic nitrous ammonium compounds during the vulcanization process. Compared with secondary sulfonamide of secondary amine and NS, it has better scorch safety, slower vulcanization speed, higher modulus, good vulcanization flatness, good dynamic performance of vulcanized rubber, low heat generation, and is a kind of excellent accelerator.
It is usually used in combination with anti-scorch agent CTP and can completely replace TBBS; in addition, TBSI is stable in water, easy to store, and can significantly improve the anti-sulfurization reversion property of rubber when vulcanizing natural rubber. It shows good performance in compounds where rubber is bonded with steel wires.
TBSI can be used in natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, etc., especially suitable for furnace-milled rubber compounds with strong alkalinity and those with high requirements for anti-reversion, and its activity is greater than the currently widely used CBS, NOBS, etc. accelerators.
