Does not dissolve in water or gasoline, but dissolves in benzene and is highly soluble in chloroform.

【Preparation or Source】

It is obtained by oxidizing 2-mercaptobenzothiazole or disulfide benzothiazole with morpholine.

Light yellow or orange crystal(granule). No posion with a little odor of ammoni. The density is 1.34--1.40. Soluble in benzene, acetone, chloroform, insoluble in water acid and alkali with lower concentration.
Used in tire, rubber pipe, rubber shoes, and convey belt. Easily soluble in methylbenzene,It will decompose gradually if heated above 60℃ .
 

An excellent delayed accelerator. The performance is similar as Accelerator CZ with better scorch safety. Widely used in NR, IR, SBR, NBR and EPDM. Can be used alone or with those vulcanization Accelerators such as thiurams, guanidines and dithiocarbamates to improve the activity. Mainly used in manufacture of tires, shoes and belts. Non-blooming. Not Suitahle appying in beverage and food containers because of the bitterness of the product after vulcanization.
