Properties

 

White powder. No smell but taste bitter. The density is 1.42. Soluble in alcohol, acetone and ethyl acetate, Slightly soluble in petroleum ether, CH2CL2, Insoluble in CCL4, benzene and water. Good stabilization stroge ability. As second anti-degradant without poison.

 

Application

 

A non-staining secondary antioxidant for natural rubber, CR, SBR, NBR and EPR, etc. Especially effective against heat oxidation in combination with amine.
1. Mainly used for synthesizing rubber, butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber and latex, etc.
2. Soluble in alkaline solutions. M is used as a brightening agent for copper plating, which can make the plating layer shiny and has leveling effect. It can also increase the working current density. It is often used in combination with N, SPS, etc.
3. Antioxidant MB is the main non-polluting antioxidant in the rubber industry. It can reduce color change during rubber vulcanization. This product is suitable for manufacturing transparent, white and vivid color products, heat-resistant and foam products. This product does not change color or get contaminated.
Usage: This product is used as a brightening agent for copper plating, which can make the plating layer shiny and has leveling effect, and can also increase the working current density. It is often used in combination with copper plating brightening agents N, SPS, etc.
4. This product is used as an antioxidant for natural rubber, diene-based synthetic rubber and latex, and can also be used for polyethylene. It is a so-called secondary antioxidant. When used in combination with other antioxidants (such as DNP, AP and other non-polluting antioxidants), it can achieve a significant synergistic effect. This product is easily dispersed in rubber and does not change color under sunlight. It has a slight degree of contamination. The dosage when used alone is generally 1-1.5 parts. When the dosage exceeds 2 parts, frosting will occur. The dosage in latex foam rubber is 0.5-1 part, and in transparent rubber products is 0.5 part. Because this product has a bitter taste, it is not suitable for rubber products in contact with food. 2-mercaptobenzimidazole is a new anti-leprosy drug in medicine. Its toxicity is lower than sulfone drugs, but its efficacy is lower and it can cause drug resistance. It has no accumulation effect. It can be used for patients who are not suitable for sulfone drugs. The aqueous solution of the alkali metal salt of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole reacts with the aqueous solution of water-soluble zinc salt to obtain 2-mercaptobenzimidazole zinc salt, that is, antioxidant MBZ (C14H10N4S2Zn). This product is non-toxic.
5. In the rubber industry, it is the main non-polluting antioxidant, which can reduce color change during rubber vulcanization. It is effective in preventing rubber air aging, and is particularly suitable for manufacturing transparent, white and vivid color products.

Storage
