Rubber Vulcanization Accelerator TBzTD

Rubber Vulcanization Accelerator TBzTD

ATBzTD is a new-generation thiuram vulcanization accelerator developed as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional thiuram accelerators such as TMTD. It provides fast curing performance with improved processing safety and longer scorch time. Due to its low nitrosamine formation tendency, TBzTD is widely used in rubber products where safety and environmental requirements are important.

Rubber vulcanization accelerator TBzTD can replace thiuram accelerators such as TMTD, mainly because thiuram accelerators are prone to produce carcinogenic nitrosamines, while diphenylnitrosamine is non-carcinogenic. It can be used as a fast primary accelerator or secondary accelerator in NR, SBR, EPDM, and NBR systems. It is safer to use than TMTD and has a longer anti-scorch time. It is sometimes used as a vulcanization inhibitor for PVC rubber.

TBzTD is a safe secondary amine-based accelerator, non-polluting, non-discoloring, non-carcinogenic, an environmentally friendly accelerator, mainly used to replace the thiuram-type auxiliary TMTD , because the presence of nitrosamines is harmful. According to the published literature, N-nitrosodibenzylamine is not carcinogenic. In the application of NR, SBR and NBR, TBzTD can be used as the main accelerator or auxiliary accelerator for rapid vulcanization. It can be used as an inhibitor in modified CR with ETU (ethylenethiourea (2-thiol imidazoline)). Compared with TMTD, TBzTD has longer scorch time and better scorch resistance.

Application

  • Automobile tires and tire components
  • Rubber hoses
  • Conveyor belts
  • Rubber seals and gaskets
  • Industrial rubber products
  • Cables and wire insulation
  • Heat-resistant rubber products
  • NR, SBR, NBR and EPDM rubber compounds
