Application

Generally used as a secondary accelerator or as a booster for sulphenamides to achieve faster cure rate. Distinguished by very good processing safety in comparison with other thiurams, high curing activity and no discoloration. No cure actinty in the absence of added elemental sulphur. An excellent accelerator for polychloroprene in association with Accelerator DPG and Sulphur. Its critical temperature is 121 οC .

Usage: This product is a non-color-changing and non-polluting super accelerator. It is mainly used for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Its activity is approximately 10% lower than that of TMTD. The tensile strength of the vulcanized rubber is also slightly lower. The critical temperature for vulcanization is 121 degrees Celsius. Its retroactivity is greater than that of dithiocyanates and dithiopyridyl compounds. It has excellent anti-burning performance. When using this product, the range of sulfur usage is wide. This product can be used alone or in combination with thiazole-based, aldehyde-amide-based, guanidine-based, etc. accelerators. It is an activator for thiazole-based accelerators. In general-purpose (GN-A type) butyl rubber, it has a delayed vulcanization effect. In latex, when used in combination with dithiopyridyl compounds, it can reduce the tendency for early vulcanization of raw materials. This product cannot decompose active sulfur and cannot be used in sulfur-free formulations.

Properties

Yellow powder(granule). Ordorless and non-toxic. The density is 1.37--1.40. Soluble in chloroform, acetone, CH2CL2, CS2, benzene, toluene, partly soluble in alcohol and diethyl ether, insoluble in water and gasoline.
